Help - ShareX

Setting up ShareX; Configuring it to work with FilePush for uploading files.

Step 1 - Downloading and installing ShareX.

(If you have ShareX installed already, you can skip this step.)

Go to getsharex.com and click "Download" located on the home page. This will show you several options for downloading, click the first option, setup.

Once the ShareX installer has downloaded, run it and go through the setup. We don't need to tell you what to do here, it's a fairly simple process; just don't break it and blame us.

Step 2 - Download a ShareX configuration file.

For ShareX to work with FilePush, you need to download our ShareX configuration file. This tells ShareX who you are when uploading files to our service and allows for more options, such as changing the domain you want to use from the settings page.

Important ending notes

You may need to ensure FilePush has been added as a custom destination. Right click the ShareX tray-icon, go to Destinations and for Image uploader: select Custom image uploader. This directs ShareX to send all of your image uploads to the custom file uploader, which at this point should be FilePush.

If you have multiple custom file uploaders on ShareX, please consider this when debugging issues. If you think there is a FilePush specific issue, please backup your existing configurations and add FilePush's alone before testing again.

Once you have setup ShareX, you can learn how to change which domain is used here.
